Acapulco All Inclusive Resorts

Acapulco, the king of Mexican beach resorts, is ever-popular with year-round, foreign and domestic visitors. In fact, Acapulco offers over 300 hotels and boasts some of the world's swankiest all-inclusive resorts.

Thanks to its dazzling discos, bars, and clubs, Acapulco is the number one choice of party lovers. Honeymooners fall in love with the all-inclusive resorts' tropical beauty and festive Mexican atmosphere. The area also appeals to families, thanks to several parks, calm beaches, flexible dining schedules of all-inclusive resorts, and CiCi water sports park.

All-inclusive resort activities center around three areas. Beginning south of Acapulco Bay (near the airport) is the Playa Revolcadero area. This long flat stretch of open ocean beach is backed by an enormous tropical lagoon.

Just to the north (between the airport and Acapulco Bay) is the Puerto Marquis area. This tranquil bay offers you an all-inclusive getaway.

And finally, there is south-facing Acapulco Bay, a U-shaped, mountain-framed natural harbor that rivals Rio de Janeiro and Hong Kong for natural beauty. A highway descends from the steep cliffs of the bay's southern end, becoming the coastal Avenida Miguel Aleman, also known as the Costera. This is the heart of Acapulco's all-inclusive resort strip and home to nearly all of Acapulco's nonstop nightlife, dining, and shopping. The Costera continues north along the bay toward Old Acapulco and the aging downtown area.

San Diego Fort
The Fort of San Diego is the most relevant historic monument in Acapulco and was the most important Spanish fortress along the pacific cost. Located on a hill in the heart of downtown Acapulco, the fort is an integral part of the landscape that stands out because of its singular geometric design in the shape of a five point star. This important building houses Acapulco's History Museum.

La Quebrada - Cliff Divers
La Quebrada is perhaps Acapulco's most iconic attraction: a place that has come to symbolize the city itself. Every day at 1:00 p.m., young men dive from La Quebrada's perilous and jagged cliffs, timing their jump to coincide with the incoming waves that cushion their impact and protect them from landing in the shallows. Come evening, more diving takes place. In fact, Acapulco's world-famous divers of La Quebrada, who soar from 136-foot rocky cliffs into crashing surf, have become an enduring symbol of the city.

Magico Mundo Marino
Between the beaches Caleta and Caletilla is the new Mágico Mundo Marino, an aquarium, which has indoor and outdoor marine exhibits, as well as pools, two water slides, restaurant, scuba lessons, and snorkeling equipment rentals. It is a great place for family fun

Papagayo River
One of the newest activities in Acapulco is a high-speed boat ride down the Papagayo River aboard the Shotover Jet. This New Zealand import takes passengers aboard a jet boat. Set aside about four hours for the trip, including the 45 minutes it takes to get to the site.

Bullfight Arena
Every Sunday afternoon during the season the traditional battle between brawn and brain takes place with all the color and pageantry of its Hispanic origins. It may not be some people's idea of sport, but it is worth a visit at least once. Tour includes round trip transportation and seats in the shade section.

CiCi water park
A water park featuring water slides, water toboggans, dolphin encounters, seal shows a wave pool and Sky Coaster, a ride that will leave youngsters and grownups alike screaming.

You can also go snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing, golfing or just hang on the beach during your all inclusive Acapulco vacation.

Shopping

Shopping in Acapulco
Shopping is excellent, either in the resort's several American-style malls, or at its bustling downtown mercados. The Zocalo, is the main public plaza in town. This is a center of family activity and strolling about especially on Sundays. You may find a band concert at the music gazebo on Sunday afternoons and the traditional balloon man is always a hit with the kids. This charming plaza is surrounded by stores and small restaurants and the Acapulco Garden Club.
